Developing Your Disposable Camera: The Step By Step Guide

Yes, it's 2024 but disposable cameras, much like film photography in general, is very much still a thing.

Disposable cameras add an element of fun to a holiday, wedding, festival or other occasion where the spontaneity and delayed gratification of seeing your images wins. We truly believe it helps prolong the blues of any event too!

If you're about to start shooting or wondering how and where to get your disposable camera developed in the UK, we have you covered with this essential guide.

How Much Does It Cost To Develop A Disposable Camera?

Disposable camera developing starts from as little as £4, covering the UK. You just need to organise the cost of sending your film into us, but we offer free return delivery on your negatives.

If you want extras such as prints, extra sets or a higher quality resolution of digital scans, then this increases the cost but when selecting the variations you will see the price reflect your changes.

Is It Worth Developing An Old Disposable Camera?

Yes! Aside from the fact that you'll probably be itching to see what is on there, we develop films that are sometimes 10, 20 and 30 years old!

We can't guarantee what the shots will look like as how the camera has been stored etc can affect the quality of the film and may show fading, but you may be surprised as to how they look all these years later.

So, if in doubt, get it developed!

How To Develop A Disposable Camera?

The best way to get your disposable camera developed, is to send your film into us for processing. If you ever wondered how you get your disposable camera images to your phone, here's how to do it;

  1. Place an order for our colour single use camera processing, we also offer a black single use camera processing too if you have one of these. During this process you can select from the dropdown what you would like to add on. Your exposures refer to the number of shots taken on the film roll, this will either be up to 27 exposures or 39 exposures.

  2. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a handy confirmation email from us with details on what you need to do next. Write your order number on a piece of paper and place this in a secure padded envelope along with your disposable camera. Address the envelope with our address details found on the email and take to your local post office to send.

  3. Now, you can sit back and wait! Once your disposable camera has been received by the lab, we work on a very quick turnaround of 1-2 days. If you have ordered digital photos you will receive this via a dropbox link on the same day they have been processed.

  4. If you have ordered prints or to have your negatives returned, they will be sent back to you in the post on the day they were processed.

  5. It's really that simple! Fast and quality disposable camera developing in the UK.

So, next time you're shooting on a disposable camera, don't forget to have it processed with FilmProcessing.co.uk for a quick, quality and reliable turnaround on your shots!
