Disposable cameras have grown in popularity over the last few years. The anticipation of waiting to receive your shots feels incredibly exciting, especially if it's something that you didn't spend your childhood doing.
Of course, they aren't as instant as camera phone images, and many people still want their disposable camera images to access on their phone so they can easily be shared across social media online.
So, disposable camera packed for your next trip or adventure away? Here's everything you need to know about getting disposable cameras pictures onto your phone when you're back.
How To Get Disposable Camera Pictures On Your Phone?
Send For Film Processing
The most common way to get digital photos from your disposable camera is to send your film off to a film processing lab.
At Film Processing, we offer this service. When you are selecting to send your film in, you can select Process to dropbox. Once the film has been processed, you will then be sent a link to your files within the dropbox.
Once you access the files, you can download them to your phone and use them however you please.
You can also choose to get your camera pictures developed onto a CD, but generally speaking using the dropbox format is the preferable way to get instant access to your disposable camera photos on your phone.
Once you've picked your chosen method, simply send your film back to us in a secure envelope and we'll do the rest!
Print The Photos & Scan Them In
Getting your films processed in the way mentioned above is by far the quickest and easiest method. But we thought we would mention this option if it's something you would prefer...
Another way is to send your prints off for film processing like you would the other way, but instead of selecting dropbox files, you get them processed with physical prints.
Once the physical prints have been delivered to you, you just need to scan them into the computer and then transfer them to your phone.
It's worth bearing in mind that the quality of the images will not match what they would be if they were made into digital photos in the first instance. However, if you want physical prints too, this can be a great way to do it.
You can just use a home scanner for this process or head to a library or office facility which has this capability.
Whilst there are other ways that you potentially could get disposable camera photos onto your phone, sending your film in for processing is the easiest and most straightforward solution which doesn't require you to purchase any equipment to do the job.
Simply snap and send your film in for processing and look out for your dropbox file link once they are ready! If you have any questions about the process, please get in touch by email or give us a call. Happy snapping!
