Highlights From Our Festive Photowalk In Bath!

Following the success of our first photowalk in Bristol earlier this year, we kickstarted the festive celebrations with our final photowalk of the year in Bath, with our brand ambassador Chris Evans.

You never truly know what weather you're going to get on a walk during December in England, but it stayed dry, and we were even lucky enough to get a glimpse of the sun as the walk finished!

Chris Evans guided our walk through the busy crowds in Bath, with 26 film enthusiasts of all ages joining us for such a fun afternoon.

Here are some of the highlights from our walk, with a range of photographs from our talented walkers!

Each of our walkers received a free mystery 35mm film before the walk began. Each film was carefully wrapped by Santa and his elves at HQ before arriving in Santa's sack!

The idea of a mystery film brings a sense of intrigue to the start of the walk, it's also a great way for our fellow filmies to try out a new film that they might not normally reach for.

Our starting point began at Kingston Parade, right in the centre of the Christmas market!

We then quickly pulled away from the crowds, making our way up to the Abbey and the Bath City Parade Gardens.

We then crossed North Parade Bridge to walk alongside the river. Despite the busyness of the centre, it was lovely to get away for a bit of respite, and the river served for a perfect place to snap some shots on the walk.

Despite it being a typical 'grey day', we loved this shot by Kirsty on CineStill 400D, a great film for winter that has adaptability with changing light conditions.

Connor said it was only the second time he had intentionally shot on B&W but thinks he'll now do it a lot more often after receiving his shots back. We love this one by him on Ilford XP2 Super 400.

After crossing Pulteney bridge, we made our way up to Queen's Square. An iconic part of Bath featuring the Bath stone buildings, this includes the Circus and the Royal Crescent which would be our final point in the walk before making our way to the pub to warm up and collect the films for processing.

Yep, those are FilmProcessing beanie hats you can spot! They went down particularly well on this pretty chilly photowalk, available for purchase online too.

The beauty of Bath is that you never know what you're going to spot when you turn down one of the many streets.

From festive offerings to gorgeous window displays, Kirsty snapped this festive treat on CineStill 400D.

Christmas was well and truly out in force in Bath, and it provided the perfect contrast against the monotonous backdrop of Bath stone.

A huge thank you to our wonderful community and Chris Evans for hosting the photowalk with us. Watch this space for more photowalks in 2025.

If you haven't joined us on one this year, we'd love to hear from you, where would you like us to take our photowalk to next in the UK?
